Who is Durham Police’s K-9 Officer of the Year?

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) officers have selected Detective Constable Burns as the ‘K-9 Officer of the Year’.

He was honoured by Police Chief Paul Martin at a recent ceremony.

“Congratulations to @DRPS_K9 D/Cst. Burns who was named K-9 Officer of the Year by his peers,” said a DRPS tweet.

“A 10-year member of the unit, D/Cst. Burns was recognized for his commitment to duty, his team and for the many initiatives he has undertaken to help improve his unit and the #DRPS,” the tweet added.
