There is an unnamed hero who is said to have saved several lives during the tragic massacre at Walmart store on August 3rd.
“We believe this HERO helped save several lives including an infant,” said a tweet from the El Paso Police Department.
The man is reported to have helped many and then left without identifying himself. Police say they want to talk with him.
“Crimes Against Persons is requesting the community’s help in identifying the person in the picture. His actions at
Wal-Mart were critical and lifesaving, he needs to be identified and interviewed by investigators. Call (915) 212-4040,” said a police statement.
Inconsistency
However, there seems to be an inconsistency in the date and timing on the image released (see above) – and several people have pointed it out.
“The shooting was Aug 3rd. aren’t ppl curious as to why they have a picture of him leaving the store before shooting began?” asked one.
A Texas white male identified as Patrick Crusius was arrested for opening fire at the El Paso Walmart store killing 20 people and wounding 26 others. Police say it appears to be a hate crime.

In response to the tragic event, Walmart committed $400,000 in direct cash grants to support local community foundations that have set up funds for those impacted by the tragedy.
“Our hearts ache for El Pasoans,” said Greg Foran, president and chief executive officer, Walmart U.S. “As we work on helping our associates through this tragedy, we also want to help ensure the community has the resources it needs by providing funds to support the important work the El Paso Community Foundation and the Paso del Norte Community Foundation are doing during this difficult time. We want to support the people of El Paso every step of the way.”
In addition to the commitments to the two foundations, Sam’s Club donated food and water to the local family reunification center and three area hospitals.
