This year’s 11th report of a driver hitting a pole in Durham has come in – lending further credence to a Durham Post theory on the magnetic attraction between the region’s drivers and hydro poles.
Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday tweeted that a delivery truck struck a light post, causing live wires to fall.
“No injuries reported, but it will take some time for hydro crews to make the necessary repairs. Please avoid the area,” it said.
Intersection will remain closed in all directions at Taunton road and Coronation road in Whitby for the next 2 hours and will advise when reopened. Thank you for your cooperation, said another tweet.
