12-storey apartment building with 140 units planned

The City of Oshawa has announced that it has received an application for permission to construct a 12-storey residential building in the downtown area.

The plot of land is located at 39 Athol Street West. The proposed building is to contain 140 apartment units.

Changes are requested in related by-law regarding site specific regulations related to increased maximum residential density and building height, reduced minimum building setbacks to street lines above 20 metres and reduced required parking.

Permission would require a change in the zoning for the lands from CBD-B (Central Business District) to CBD-B(3) (Central Business District), said the city announcement.

It did not provide any further details.

  1. Stop with the childish articles. Joshua durham and the province of ontario authority have plans in place for change of density. Stop being dramatic build the condo start making oshawa a better place.
And let’s get the outdoor pool going. What are you gonna do with another couple more years? Council, let everything else get built app but the pool. That’s needed in the Central area. Right now, the the weeds and the grass is taller than 8 inch. And they’re breaking there own bylaw
