Help find man who tried to set victim on fire

Durham Police investigators are looking to identify a suspect after he attempted to light the victim on fire.

On Wednesday June 7 at about 10 am, the suspect was hiding at the rear entrance of a business in the area of Simcoe Street South and John Street West, in Oshawa.

When the victim arrived, the suspect sprayed the victim with an unknown substance and attempted to then light the victim on fire. The suspect was last seen fleeing westbound on John Street West on a bicycle. The victim was treated by EMS on scene, said a police statement.

The suspect is described as male, White, medium build, approximately 25 to 30 years old, wearing a blue hoodie, black pants, blue baseball cap and red and white running shoes.
