A 12-year-old Oshawa boy has been arrested and charged on Sunday following an online threatening investigation, said Durham Police.
On November 3, a 12-year-boy was involved in an online chat with a vulnerable 11-year-old boy. The 12-year-old indicated he would come to the second boy’s school in Oshawa with a gun and harm him. The 12-year-old does not have access to a weapon and nobody was harmed. The name of the school is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim, said the police.
The 11-year-old told his mother and police were contacted.
A 12-year-old boy from Oshawa is charged with Utter Threats Cause Bodily Harm. He was released on a Promise to Appear.
