Person with mental health issues rescued from swamp

Police service dogs (PSDs) of the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) K-9 Unit never cease to touch our heartstrings when they selflessly go into dangerous territories to help save others who may be in peril.

This is exactly what K9 Kaos is reported to have done, according to the police.

In a well-coordinated effort, police personnel, Kaos and technology helped rescue a person suffering from mental health issues.

DRPS Drone Operator, PC Jeff Burns, PC Elkington and K9 Kaos, teamed up to search and locate a party suffering from mental health issues, police said.

The drone found the party in a swamp and safety navigated K9 Kaos into his location resulting in him being safely located.

No futher details were released.
