‘Concern’ for man turns into first degree murder charge

Durham Police has issued a Canada-wide warrant for first degree murder, after a female was located deceased.

On Tuesday, May 7 at about 7 am, members of Central East Division responded to a check on well being call at a residence in the area of Rideau Street and Saguenay Avenue in Oshawa. Police entered the residence and located a deceased female.

On Thursday, May 16, a Canada-wide warrant was issued for the suspect, age 31, for the charge of first degree murder. Investigators believe he has fled the country and may be residing in India at this time.

The victim has been identified as a 29-year-old female, Dona Sajan. Name, photo and further details of suspect is available at www.drps.ca.

The police, in an earlier, report issued on May 7, said they had ‘concern’ for the man’s safety (see earlier story below).
