Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) said 1,270 speeding tickets have been issued in the first 11 days of this month.
And that too during a time when the weather and road conditions have been “anything but perfect!”
“Please help avoid the worst possible case happening to you, your family or friends. Just slow down!!!” said a DRPS tweet.
It pointed out that out of the 1,270 tickets, 13 were driving so fast as to be charged with stunt driving.
