The Town of Ajax said it is in receipt of a Zoning By-law Amendment Application (Z3/22) and a Draft Plan of Subdivision Application (S-A-2022-01), submitted by Coughlan Homes.

A total of 166 dwellings are proposed, said a town notice.

It said the developer is proposing a residential subdivision consisting of single detached dwellings, street townhouse dwellings townhouse dwellings, residential reserve blocks (part lots), a stormwater management block, park and parkette blocks, a potential elementary school block, natural heritage system blocks, public roads, and road widening blocks.

The purpose of the Zoning By-law Amendment Application is to permit the proposed uses and to set site-specific development standards to facilitate the proposed development. The purpose of the Draft Plan of Subdivision Application is to establish the necessary lots, blocks, and right-of-ways to facilitate the proposed development.

Ajax is inviting interested residents to attend a public open house to learn more about this development proposal, identify any concerns, and to provide comments. The public open house will be held electronically on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 7 pm.
