Multiple streets closed in Bowmanville for event

Scugog Street, Wellington Street and Concession Street will be closed at the CP Railway crossing in Bowmanville on Tuesday, November 29, from 12:30 pm until approximately 4 pm for the Canadian Pacific Railway Holiday Train event.

There will be no emergency access at the CP Railway crossing.

The holiday event is scheduled to start around 1:45 pm.

“Join us at the Scugog Street Railway Crossing on November 29 at 1:45 pm to celebrate the holidays with great music while giving back to the community,” said a municipal statement.

The Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train is returning to the rails this season on its first cross-continent tour in three years, following virtual concerts in the pandemic years of 2020 and 2021.

The train will again raise money, food and awareness for local food banks in communities along the CP network.
