Durham police yesterday said a man, found stabbed on the roadside, has died, making it Durham’s ninth homicide of the year.
On Tuesday, December 23, at around 4:15 am, members of Central East Division responded to a call in the area of Park Road South and John Street in Oshawa. A male was located on the roadway suffering from stab wounds, and transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre in life-threatening condition.
The male has since succumbed to his injuries, police said.
Investigators are requesting that any residents of the area review their surveillance video systems for any possible footage of the incident. The investigation is ongoing as investigators continue to canvas the area and speak with witnesses.
