A Durham Police investigation is underway after a 21-year-old vulnerable female reported being sexually assaulted in Ajax.
On Sunday, November 1, at about 4 pm., the 21-year-old female was walking in the area of St. Andrews Community Centre on Exeter Road in Ajax when she was approached by a male, who began a conversation. The male offered her cigarettes and after several moments, began to touch her inappropriately. She was able to push him away and ran from the area and called 911, police said.
Investigators have a suspect and the investigation continues.
