250 new homes coming up across Clarington, have your say!

Clarington Council has received four new development proposals in the areas of Courtice, Bowmanville and Newcastle for a total of 250 housing units.

A special council meeting will be taking place on Monday, August 10 at 6 pm to discuss these developments.

43 Darlington Boulevard, Courtice

D.G. Biddle & Associates has submitted applications for a Zoning By-law Amendment and Draft Plan of Subdivision.

The proposed development is for eight blocks of semi-detached homes, totalling 16 dwelling units, as well as a park.

Pedestrian and vehicular access to the site will be provided via a driveway from Darlington Boulevard easterly into the property.

The total site area is 1.03 acres (0.416 hectares) in size. The total size of the park is 1,441 m2 (0.356 acres).

2495 and 2559 Green Road, Bowmanville

The Biglieri Group Ltd. has submitted applications of a draft plan of a subdivision at 2495 and 2559 Green Road.

The proposal seeks to facilitate the development of a residential subdivision consisting of:

  • 142 dual-frontage, traditional, and back-to-back townhouse units
  • Six internal private roads
  • 650 square metres of outdoor amenity space
  • Approximately 1,785 square metres of open space

The total site area is 4.2 hectares (10.5 acres) in size as pictured below.

582 North Street, Newcastle

GHD Canada c/o. Steph Matveeva has submitted applications of a draft plan of a subdivision. The proposed development is of 82 dwelling units consisting of:

  • 52 single-detached homes
  • 30 street townhouse units
  • An extension of a public road

The total site area is 3.6 hectares (8.8 acres) in size as pictured below.
