40 year old pedestrian suffers serious injuries from collision

A 40-year-old male pedestrian suffered serious injuries in a collision in Oshawa on Thursday evening.

On Thursday, August 18, at approximately 4:17 pm, members of Central East Division were called to Taunton Road West and Northbrook Street for a single motor-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian who had been struck.

The pedestrian was transported by ambulance to a Toronto-area trauma center with serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle was travelling eastbound on Taunton Road West when the collision occurred, the driver remained on scene and spoke to investigators.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roads in the area were closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
