Oshawa man stabbed late at night

Investigators are looking for a suspect after a stabbing on Thursday evening in Oshawa.

On Thursday, August 18, at approximately 11 pm, members of Central East Division responded to a stabbing incident near Simcoe Street and John Street. Officers located a 42-year-old male with injuries consistent with being stabbed. The male advised that he was involved in an altercation with the unknown suspect before being slashed.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. A second victim approached police and advised that he was sprayed in the face with a noxious substance during the altercation. The suspect fled on a bike.

The suspect is described as male, Black, 5’6″ tall, in his 30s, short black hair. He was wearing a black tracksuit, red backpack and glasses.
