64-year old restaurateur charged for sex assault

A 64-year-old Ajax male has been charged with sexual assault involving one of his employees in Pickering.

The DRPS Special Victims Unit commenced an investigation in March after a 16-year-old victim came forward with allegations of a sexual nature against the suspect. The suspect, a manager/owner of a Pickering restaurant on Kingston Road, is alleged to have inappropriately touched the victim in the workplace, said a police statement.

Investigators arrested and charged the suspect with sexual assault. He was released on an undertaking. Further details at www.drps.ca.

Investigators want to ensure there are no further victims.
