Six-week project nets three with $700,000 in drugs

Durham Police officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit have concluded an investigation into drug trafficking which resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of drugs.

Between May and June this year, members of the drug enforcement unit, alongside Brantford Police Service conducted a joint investigation into the trafficking of cocaine. Officers executed warrants in Whitby, Toronto and Paris.

As a result, investigators seized over 14kgs of cocaine, 4.5kgs of MDMA, a kilogram of methamphetamine, half a kilogram of fentanyl and over 1,700 pills of prescription medications. The total value of drugs seized is approximately $700,000.
