Young woman arrested for running a red light

A 27-year-old female is facing charges after she drove impaired and failed to stop for a red light and police.

On Sunday, August 1, an officer from West Division attempted to stop a vehicle that had run a red light in the Kingston Road and Brock Road area of Pickering. The vehicle failed to stop for police and entered Highway 401 westbound. A rolling block was used to stop the vehicle near Port Union Road and the female was placed under arrest.

Samantha Mccalla, age 27 of Scarborough. is charged with: Impaired, Fail to Stop for Police and Fail to Stop for Red Light.
