Brookhouse Parkette expansion and upgrade underway

Clarington has announced that work is beginning this summer to upgrade the playground at Brookhouse Parkette in Newcastle.

Starting the week of Monday, August 4, construction crews will begin transforming the space with a larger, improved play area. The project includes the installation of a new combination junior/senior play structure, new benches, and wood fibre safety surfacing designed to improve both safety and accessibility.

During construction, some areas of the park may be temporarily closed to the public. The Municipality of Clarington has thanked residents for their patience during the project and noted that the updated playground is expected to reopen this fall.
