Man in life-threatening condition taken to trauma centre

A 69-year-old male was critically injured in a collision involving an e-bike and motor vehicle in Oshawa, police said this morning.

On Tuesday, August 5 at about 7 am, members from Central East Division were called to a motor vehicle collision involving an e-bike and motor vehicle at Park Road South and Marland Avenue. The motor vehicle and e-bike were both travelling northbound just south of Marland Ave when they collided.

The male of the e-bike was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre where he was remains in critical condition. The male driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The area of the roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected. This collision is still under investigation.
