Orono to be without power for six hours on Friday

Utility provider Elexicon Energy has issued a notice for an upcoming community-wide power interruption in the Village of Orono in Clarington.

“Crews will be performing important work to strengthen the electricity distribution system in Orono on Friday, October 3. For the work to be done safely, a community-wide power outage is required,” said the notice.

“The power interruption will take place from midnight until 6 am. We apologize for the inconvenience,” said the alert while encouraging affected residents to visit their webpage for some helpful tips and suggestions to prepare for the outage.
