Empty residence, car in driveway shot at several times

Durham police are searching for at least one suspect after a residence and unoccupied vehicle were shot at in Whitby.

On Saturday, November 22, at around 2:40 am, members of Central West Division responded to an armed person call in the area of Armilia Place and Coronation Road.

Several shots were fired toward a residence and unoccupied vehicle parked in the driveway.

Officers located several shell casings as well as damage to the residence. Officers made entry to the home to check on the well being of any occupants and confirmed the residence was empty. Numerous bullet holes were located on the second floor of the residence.

Anyone who was in the area between 2 am and 3 am that may have cellphone, dash cam, surveillance footage or information about this incident is asked to contact Det. Smith at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 3266.
