Inquiry into Ajax home fire in which man was hospitalised

The Ontario Fire Marshal will be conducting an investigation after a male was found injured after police were called to a house fire in Ajax.

On Thursday, December 11, at around 6:10 am, members of West Division responded to a residential house fire on Angier Crescent. Officers arrived on scene and observed smoke coming from a residence. Ajax Fire was on scene and extinguished the fire. An adult male was transported to a local area hospital where he remains with serious injuries.

The premise has been deemed unsafe, and as a result, an in-depth search has not yet been completed. Once the premise has been deemed safe a thorough search will be completed, police said.
