245 tickets isued during ‘Move Over’ traffic blitz week

Some 245 traffic violation tickets were issued by the East Divison of Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) during a recently held week-long ‘Move Over’ traffic blitz.

About 90 of those tickets were issued as a result of vehicles failing to move over for emergency or stalled vehicles.

“Remember, if it is safe to do so, move over for emergency vehicles stopped along the side of the highway! If you can’t move over safely, slow down!” said the police.

The ‘Move Over’ traffic blitz was conducted during he middle of February.
