Pickering Animal Services and Ren’s Pets are inviting the public to join their upcoming Adoption & Donation Drive Weekend on August 20 and 21 at Ren’s Pets located at 280 Kingston Road East (Unit E003) in Ajax.
Pickering Animal Services will bring in cats and other small animals that will be available for adoption. Attendees will learn about responsible pet ownership and enjoy a variety of interactive activities. There will be games, prizes, education stations, and a photo booth, said a city statement.
Ren’s Pets will be offering $5 nail trimming for dogs on the Sunday (August 21) and will accept donations such as toys, blankets, bedding, and gift cards the entire weekend, all of which will go to Pickering Animal Services.
“We are excited to partner with Ren’s Pets on this meaningful event,” said Lindsey Narraway, Supervisor, Animal Services. “Over the last few months, we have received many calls from people looking to surrender their pets. We want to remind everyone that animals are a lifetime commitment, and it is extremely important to do your research before deciding to adopt.”
Every animal that gets adopted over the weekend will go home with coupons and a special adoption package filled with goodies to help them settle in to their new home!
