Drugs, cash and firearm seized in Bowmanville

A Durham Police drug investigation by members of East Division resulted in drugs, cash and a firearm seized in Bowmanville.

On Thursday, August 11, members of East Division Community Response Team concluded a local drug investigation after complaints of drugs being sold to minors in the community. Investigators arrested the suspect and executed a search warrant on West Scugog Lane in Bowmanville. Police seized a handgun, Canadian currency, drugs and drug paraphernalia, said a police statement.

The suspect from Clarington, faces numerous firearm-related offences. He was held for a bail hearing. A photo of the gun seized is attached. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
