Winter or no winter, snow or no snow, freezing rain or no freezing rain, this driver (stopped above) has seemingly been practising bravado on Durham streets.
Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday said the motorist had a G2 licence, and was stopped by officers from the East Division.
Officers from DRPS East Division stopped a car this [yesterday] morning which was seen speeding and being driven aggressively.
DRPS said the car was clocked at 122kmh in a 60kmh construction zone in poor weather.
The G2 driver received a 30-day driving licence suspension and 14-day vehicle impound.
Police did not say where in Clarington the incident took place.
DRPS North Division officers too reported drivers who did not pay heed to difficult weather conditions.
“These drivers [below] were stopped for speeding in Scugog.
“Please slow down and obey the speed limit, especially in poor weather and road conditions; such as freezing rain,” said a police tweet.
Driver caught speeding at 83km/hr this morning on Garden Street.
Flashing school zone, in the rain, near freezing temperatures. Not safe.
