Ajax invites you to its Winterfest on Family Day

The Town of Ajax has issued an invitation to residents to celebrate Family Day at Ajax Winterfest with free activities.

Winter-themed festivities will be held on February 20 from 11 am to 4 pm at the Audley Recreation Centre, it said.

The town explained that Winterfest 2023 highlights include:

  • Elsa and Anna magic show at 12:30 and 2:30 pm.
  • Free swims from 11 am – 1 pm and 2 – 4 pm.
  • Free Family Zumba Try-Its at 11:30 am and 12:15 pm.
  • Horse and wagon rides from 12 – 4 pm.
  • Hot chocolate (while supplies last)
  • Inflatables and games
  • Mad Science fun stations
  • Make your own s’mores (while supplies last)
  • Outdoor birds of prey shows at 11:30 am, 1 and 2:30 pm.
  • Outdoor skating (weather permitting; please bring skates)
  • Outdoor winter activities (weather permitting)
  • Road hockey (weather permitting)
  • Sensory Zone
  • Strolling entertainment

“Winterfest is about celebrating the winter season, encouraging families to get outside and have a fun day together on Family Day. We’ve been running Winterfest for more than 20 years in a variety of formats, and it’s always been a popular event. Come out and enjoy both indoor and outdoor interactive activities and children’s entertainment,” said Mayor Shaun Collier.

  • Winterfest is sponsored by: Lead Sponsor – OPG and Supporting Sponsor – Julia Seaton Real Estate.
  • The Audley Recreation Centre is located at 1955 Audley Road North.
  • No pre-registration required. Nominal fees apply for food and beverages. Activities may have a capacity limit (first come, first served) and are subject to change without notice. ATM on site.
  • Activities take place both indoors and outdoors, please dress accordingly.
  • Indoor shoes required for Family Fitness Zumba classes.
