Ajax Poll: 81% satisfied with town, but its traffic…

The results of the Ajax’s customer satisfaction poll are in – 81% of those polled are satisfied with the town’s service delivery.

When compared to other GTA municipalities, Ajax ranks high in overall satisfaction, according to a town’s media release.

However, traffic chaos was cited as the biggest blight on Ajax.

A sense of community and access to natural amenities remain the aspects which residents most often like about the town. Residents most often mention liking natural amenities that Ajax offers, including waterfront access (24%) and greenspace (22%).

Since 2014, the small town feel and sense of community (combined item at 25%) has reemerged as a top mention.

However, traffic remains a prominent issue as 23% of the residents dislike this aspect of the Town. Traffic and congestion remains the issue facing the town of Ajax most often identified as important (14%).

  • 86% feel that Ajax is a safe community
  • Residents want to hear from the Town via social media – Twitter, Facebook & Instagram
  • Waterfront, greenspaces and sense of community are top priorities for the community
  • Traffic and road infrastructure are a top concern for residents

Approximately 600 residents participated in this important engagement exercise which helps the town track how it is doing and identify areas for improvement.
