Ajax will host a Winterfest from February 21 – 27 with a week of fun, family-friendly events and activities.
The activates include:
- Special free swimming at the Ajax and McLean Community Centres and free public skating at the Ajax Community Centre on Family Day, February 21 (registration required).
- Free skating at Pat Bayly Square outdoor rink and natural ice rinks at McLean Community Centre, Audley Recreation Centre, Carruthers Marsh Pavilion and Rotary Park.
- Free Nordic pole walking demonstrations led by TOA fitness experts (registration required).
- Snow Creations Photo Contest. Participate for a chance to win a prize.
- Love Letters for Local social media campaign. Participate for a chance to win a prize.
- Special Ajax Public Library programming, including, Storywalk Trail
- Opportunities to stay active outdoors with Winter TOA activities.
Scugog will be handing out free Family Day Activity Kits at the Scugog Community and Recreation Centre in the coming days. There was a free public skating activity planned, however, it was cancelled due to the state of emergency.
