E-bike riders airlifted to Toronto with serious injuries

Two persons were airlifted by Ornge air ambulance to Toronto hospitals yesterday with serious but non-life threatening injuries after a collision in Oshawa, Durham Police said.

The collision occurred on the roadway at Albany Street and Albert Street, which were closed while officers from DRPS Central East Division gathered evidence. The streets were later opened.

“Both male drivers transported by Ornge to Toronto area hospitals with serious but non-life threatening injuries,”said DRPS.

“…Two E-bike drivers were involved in a collision with a vehicle. Both males from the E-bikes have serious injuries. Roadways will be closed for the investigation. Use an alternate,” said Durham Regional Police in a tweet earlier yesterday.
