Albert Street closed to traffic Monday morning

Oshawa has announced that Albert Street will be closed to through traffic on the morning of Tuesday July 19.

A city notification said access for emergency vehicles will be provided if required. Local access and access to local parking lots will be provided at all times. Temporary conditions signs will be posted in accordance with provincial standards.

  • When: Tuesday July 19 from 7 am to 9 am
  • Where: Between King Street and Athol Street
  • Why: Crane to lift the sea container from the parking lot of 28 Albert Street

The city also announced that Mary Street South sidewalk will be closed to pedestrian traffic from today.

  • Where: East side – Mary Street South between King Street and Athol Street
  • When: From July 18 until July 23
  • Why: Directional Bore New Telus Conduit -for the safety of pedestrians

Oshawa also reminded users that Kentucky Derby Way and South Ocean Drive sidewalk is closed to pedestrian traffic.

  • Where: West side – Kentucky Derby Way between Dance Act Avenue and South Ocean Drive and south side – South Ocean Drive between Kentucky Derby Way and House #197 South Ocean Drive
  • When: from July 14 until December 31
  • Why: Construction of residential units, sidewalk and curb-for the safety of pedestrians.

The city apologized for any inconvenience this may cause.
