Altercation sends one to hospital with serious injury

A 21-year-old Oshawa man walked into a local hospital after being seriously injured by a sharp object during an altercation in Oshawa on Monday evening.

On February 15, at approximately 4:10 pm, members of Central East Division were called to a local hospital after a male victim walked into the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Police attended a residential apartment on Simcoe Street South where the altercation took place and arrested a man, said a police statement.

Frank Kreisz, age 53, of Simcoe Street South, Oshawa is charged with: Aggravated Assault and Assault with a Weapon.

He was held for a bail hearing.
