Another fight erupts among students, this time in Oshawa

Another fight among students was reported by Durham Police yesterday, in which one student suffered an injury.

A 17-year-old student had suffered a stab-wound after an altercation between 20 students in a commercial lot in Ajax on Tuesday afternoon.

Yesterday’s incident took place at Easton Park in Oshawa, and again involved several students, according to police.

Earlier on Tuesday, February 15 at about 1 pm, members of West Division responded to a disturbance involving over 20 students at a gas station near Harwood Ave North and Rossland Road West. Officers located the victim who had a non-life threatening stab-wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated, said a police statement.

Police searched the area for suspects with negative results. Police are looking for witnesses or any evidence of the altercation that would assist in identifying the involved parties.

Anyone with new information is asked to contact Cst. Singh of the West Division Community Resource Unit 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2595.
