Attacker invades home, stabs victim in bed

Durham Police investigators are looking for a lone suspect who entered a home, and stabbed and assaulted a male in his bedroom on Wednesday

On September 23 at about 10:30 pm, members of Central East Division responded to a home on Buena Vista Avenue in Oshawa after a male had been stabbed and beaten, police said.

The suspect entered the home and made his way to the victim’s bedroom and stabbed him and assaulted him. The suspect then fled on foot. The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Police searched the area with negative results.

The suspect is described as male, black with a thin build.

This was not a random attack, police said.
