Fired shotgun pellets found in neighbour’s bedroom

Oshawa: A 23-year-old man is facing charges after a shotgun was fired inside his residence and some of the projectiles struck his neighbour’s house.

On Sunday, July 28 at 2 am, members of Central East Division responded to a residence after a neighbour found what appeared to be a buckshot pellet on her bedroom floor.

Further investigation led investigators to the suspect’s home next door where a shotgun was discharged. The projectiles travelled through several walls of his home before striking his neighbours home. There were no injuries.

A search warrant was executed at the residence where the shotgun was discharged and officers seized drugs in the residence. The firearm was not located and the investigation is ongoing.

Alexander Woodcock, age 23 of Snowberry Street in Oshawa, is charged with:

  • Careless Use of a Firearm;
  • Discharge Firearm into a Place Reckless to Others;
  • Mischief Endangering Life;
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) and
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance x2 (crystal methamphetamine, heroin)

He was held for a bail hearing.
