Durham police yesterday said a male is facing numerous firearm, drug and assault charges after an investigation.
In early October, investigators commenced an investigation after receiving information about a male who, on multiple occasions assaulted and made threats with a firearm toward the victim.
On Saturday, October 25, members of the Offender Management Unit (OMU), located the suspect in the area of Steeles Avenue and Trafalgar Road in Halton Hills and took him into custody.
A firearm with a loaded prohibited extended 15-round magazine, and drugs were found in the suspect’s possession, police said.
The suspect was also wanted on a relief of surety warrant stemming from similar violent incidents with another police service.
The suspect, age 28 from Ajax was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
