Durham police yesterday said one male is facing charges following the execution of a search warrant.
At the time of the accused’s arrest he was on parole for firearm related offences, highlighting a troubling past of recidivism.
On Friday, October 24 at about 8:50 pm, members of the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) concluded an investigation which resulted in a Criminal Code search warrant being executed at a residence in Markham.
Officers seized a loaded handgun, more than 1,000 grams of fentanyl, a large quantity of cocaine and crystal methamphetamine as well as $100,000 in cash.
The suspect, age 25 of Markham was charged with several offences and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
