Deanna Rose, a manager at the Oshawa McDonald’s restaurant at 2585 Thoroughbred Street, was recently honoured with McDonald’s Canada’s 2026 Outstanding Manager of the Year award.
This prestigious award is only given to the top 5 per cent of managers across McDonald’s 1,500+ restaurants in Canada. It recognizes managers who have displayed exceptional leadership and commitment to serving their community.
Deanna credits her win to her problem-solving skills and leading her team by example. She is deeply invested in supporting the community she serves through the restaurant’s annual food and toy drives, Deanna and her team also give back to local first responders.
“I was thrilled to find out I won! I was so surprised when they announced my name for this prestigious award,” said Rose. “My immediate thought went straight to my team, whose brilliant, relentless creativity made this success possible. Getting to celebrate this milestone together as a team has by far been the best part of the entire experience.”

Deanna started her career with Steve Wilson’s restaurants in Oshawa and Clarington in May of 2014 and gradually progressed through the management leadership to become a restaurant manager in 2024.
