Oshawa to host World FireFit Championships

The City of Oshawa is readying to host the 2019 Canadian and World FireFit Championships from September 10 to 15 at Delpark Homes Centre (formerly Legends Centre).

Run worldwide, the Scott FireFit Championships are competitions based on firefighting tasks commonly performed in emergency situations; stair climbs, hose hoists, forcible entry, running, hose advance and targeting, and victim rescue are tasks required for many of the competitions. Teams and individuals face-off in these challenges known as the “toughest two minutes in sports”.

This is the fourth time Oshawa has hosted the Scott Firefit Championships and the first World Firefit Championship to take place in Oshawa.

All funds raised will support the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada.

Date: Tuesday September 10, 2019 to Sunday, September 15, 2019

Location: Delpark Homes Centre (formerly Legends Centre), 1661 Harmony Rd. N., Oshawa. Parking is available on site.
