A man yesterday tried to rob a CIBC branch in Oshawa just before the bank’s closing time.
“Robbery investigators are currently at the CIBC on Simcoe St in Oshawa for a robbery,” said a DRPS tweet at around 5.45 pm yesterday.
They did not give details of the robbery and whether it was successful or not, but did mention that the “male suspect fled the scene”.
No injuries were reported.
DRPS said more information on the robbery and details of the suspect will will be provided once surveillance videos have been reviewed.
