Clarington houseowner tased multiple times in home invasion

Durham Police investigators from the East Division are requesting the public’s assistance with the investigation into an armed home invasion in Courtice, Clarington.

On Friday, July 5 at about 2:30 am, members from East Division responded to a residence in the area of Lawson Road and Townline Road North after receiving a call for a home invasion that had just occurred.

Two unknown males entered the home and physically assaulted the homeowners, striking one of the victims multiple times with a taser, said a police report. It did not mention any inuries or hospialization.

The motive for the home invasion remains unclear, police said.

Suspect #1: Male, White, 6’2” tall, 190lbs, wearing all black.

Suspect #2: Male, wearing all black.

Investigators are appealing to the public for any security or dash cam footage near the intersection of Lawson Road and Townline Road North.
