Clarington man dies after snowmobile crash

A 63-year-old Clarington man sustained fatal injuries as a result of a snowmobile collision near Newtonville over the weekend.

On Saturday, January 23, at about 8:30 pm, officers from East Division were called to a serious collision on private property involving a single snowmobile. A 63-year-old-male was operating a snowmobile on a laneway when he was ejected from the vehicle. The male was transported to a local hospital, and later transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The 63-year-old male succumbed to his injuries yesterday in hospital.
