Complaints lead to six arrests, drugs and cash

Durham Police said two people are facing charges after an investigation yielded more than $54,000 in drugs and cash in Oshawa.

Over the past two weeks, the Central East Division Community Response Team concluded an investigation after receiving complaints of drug trafficking on Division Street in Oshawa. On November 12, members of the investigative team with assistance of the Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on the street. Five parties were arrested at the residence and one suspect fled on foot, but was arrested a short distance away.

Members located and seized approximately $52,000 worth of crystal meth, heroin, crack cocaine, fentanyl, cannabis and just over $2,500 in cash.

Michael Samuels, age 46, of No Fixed Address and Davion Brown, age 39, of Canary Street in Whitby were each charged with: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x5. Samuels was charged additionally with Breach of Probation. They were held for bail hearings.
