Crime Briefs: Stabbings, Fail-to-Remain, pole down

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday reported two stabbings in the City of Oshawa, as well as serious crash.

It said officers from DRPS Central East Division responded to a stabbing at Bloor Street and Ritson Road in Oshawa. Male victim was taken to a Toronto trauma center.

DRPS also said investigators are investigating a stabbing from overnight in which a 30-year old male suffered serious injuries after being stabbed near King Streett in Oshawa. He was taken to a trauma center in Toronto.

Police also announced road closure on Coates Road West between Oakridge Trail and Stevenson Road for a Fail-to-Remain investigation. It said a female in her 20’s was located at 7:15 am on the roadway with serious injuries. Members of DRPS North Division are investigating.

Meanwhile, Olive Avenue was closed after a crash just east of Wilson Road. Olive will be closed for several hours as a driver reportedly took down a pole.
