Multiple tickets for truck driver who dumped dirt

Durham Police has issued multiple tickets for a dump truck driver who unloaded dirt in an unauthorised site in Newcastle.

On June 11, officers responded to a complaint of a dump truck with smoking brakes that had dumped a load of dirt on Concession 3 and drove off.

The truck and driver were located and the vehicle was escorted by police to an MTO inspection station.

As a result, the vehicle has been taken off the road and will not be allowed to operate until all deficiencies have been repaired, police said.
