Don’t drink and go to sleep in your car, especially if…

Durham Police have seized a number of weapons from two vehicles in Whitby on Friday.

On November 5, police located a male sleeping in a vehicle parked near Dundas Street and Brock Street with empty liquor cans inside. Officers searched the vehicle and located four conducted energy weapons, an expandable baton, five prohibited knives, brass knuckles and ammunition. Upon further investigation, a second vehicle belonging to the suspect was searched and two semi-automatic firearms were located, said a police statement.

William Fielding, age 24 of NFA, is facing 16 weapons charges. He was held for a bail hearing.
