Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday caught a driver doing more than 100kmh in a 60-zone. Officers also pulled up a dump truck for over speeding.
Officers from DRPS North Division clocked a driver going 101kmh in a 60kmh zone. He was driving under suspension and had his vehicle and trailer impounded.
On February 21, a patrol officer was conducting a radar speed check in the area of Regional Road 13 and Side Road 17 in Brock, said a police statement.
When the officer stopped the vehicle, the driver was unable to produce a valid driver’s licence or insurance.
The 47-year old man from out of the area is facing numerous charges, said police.
Speeding dump truck
Meanwhile DRPS East Division officers stopped a dump truck doing 69kmh in a 50kmh zone.
The incident happed in a residential area on Raglan Road just west of Simcoe.
