The Town of Whitby’s is planning a new local park to be built on the west side of Coronation Road, south of Taunton Road.
Planned features of the park include:
- A playground;
- A sand play area;
- A shade structure;
- A multi-skills court;
- A sports field;
- A walking trail with benches and,
- Planted trees.
A town statement said community engagement is an important part of the design of this new park. It wants to hear from stakeholders.
Deadline for feedback is March 4, and can be left at connectwhitby.ca/CoronationRoad, where the proposed park design concept can be viewed, and comments on it and the playground equipment, can be left.
